Luftverk | Stelvia X-SP

This is the STELVIA XSP, an injection-machined yoyo. This technique combines the classic Yoyojam overmolded bearing seat feel with the quality of premium machined aluminium. The yoyo is first injection-moulded into a large plastic block, after which the full profile is CNC-machined. This is an independently funded project in which I invested a significant amount of money, so seeing the final result now feels quite surreal

This variant, called Stelvia eXtreme Stability Plastic, is designed to mimic the feel of a metal yoyo based on rotational inertia values. A combination of intensive prototyping and computer simulations helped achieve a metal-like feel while preserving the soul and playful character of a plastic yoyo
