Developed from a Proven Concept

The ANTiFRAGILE traces its origins back to the popular SlipStream. While that model was known for its powerful and fluid playing characteristics, its 45.5 mm width made it less suitable for today’s highly technical and demanding style of play

To address this, the design was completely reworked. The width was increased to 48.9 mm, providing a larger catch zone for complex string tricks and horizontal combinations while preserving the elegant and balanced character of the original design

Optimised for Speed and Control

Extensive testing during competitions and real-world play sessions played a major role in the development process. The first prototype offered exceptional power and stability but lacked the rapid acceleration modern players expect

By redesigning the cup and refining the weight distribution, additional mass was positioned closer to the central axis. This allows the ANTiFRAGILE to accelerate noticeably faster while maintaining its powerful and stable feel

The result is a titanium yo-yo that effortlessly cuts through long combos, accelerates quickly, and provides excellent control during technical and horizontal trick sequences

Exclusive Ice Crystal Titanium

For the ANTiFRAGILE, Yoyofriends uses a remarkable material: crystallised Grade 5 Titanium. Through a specialised heat-treatment process reaching approximately 1200°C, a unique crystal structure is formed within the titanium

This process not only creates a subtle increase in hardness but also produces a stunning icy crystal pattern throughout the material. Under different lighting conditions, a distinctive “ice-crack” effect becomes visible, ensuring that no two ANTiFRAGILE yo-yos are exactly alike

As a result, each yo-yo possesses its own unique appearance while combining elite performance with genuine collector value

Built to Last

The ANTiFRAGILE features a durable M4 × 8 mm axle that provides additional strength and reduces the risk of thread wear or damage. Combined with a premium NSK bearing, it delivers an exceptionally smooth and reliable playing experience

The name ANTiFRAGILE is not only a reference to the use of titanium—the letters “Ti” are intentionally incorporated into the name—but also symbolises the durability and strength of this remarkable model.
